David Kohout · Designer and 3D Artist
I'm David Kohout, working under the alias Shieldxx. I'm a Czech 3D artist and designer based in Prague, working professionally since early 2022. My main 3D focus is automotive bodykit visualization - widebodies, custom kits, and modifications. Other disciplines include motion graphics, brand design, packaging, and UI/UX. My client work includes the 2025 Carvago 3D spot that aired on ČT Sport during the 2026 Winter Olympics, alongside work for TP Customs. I also build my own software tools under the Stashpeak name; the first public product is SimLauncher, a one-click launcher for sim-racing tooling.
How I work
I'm mostly self-taught, and my approach has always been about learning by doing. Most of my projects don't start with a big plan; I just see something I like and try to build it. Some pieces turn into full case studies, others stay as quick exercises. Either way the goal is to keep getting better at the craft.
Tools
Blender (mostly Cycles) for 3D modelling, lighting, and animation. Figma for UI and UX design. After Effects for motion graphics and 2D visual layers over 3D renders. Premiere Pro for editing and finishing. Photoshop and Illustrator for brand and packaging work.
