911 "Little Moby"
A fun side project: the "Little Moby," inspired by both generations of the legendary Moby Dick and RSR. Going for a Pixar-leaning look without hyper-realism.
This project was a big deal for me. It was the first piece of 3D work I ever sent out into the world back in 2022, and seeing people actually like it was a huge relief for a self-taught beginner. In a way, it's a love letter to my favorite Porsche race cars, the classic "Moby Dick" and the RSR.
I had a specific style in mind: something that felt like it could be in the CARS universe but wasn't a full-on cartoon. The trick was to keep the shaders and lighting believable while slightly exaggerating the proportions. Things like chunkier wheels and a more aggressive stance gave it that stylized look without losing all of its realism.
