Carvago TV Spot 2025
My first 3D animated spot made for broadcast television, aired on ČT Sport during the 2026 Winter Olympics. Concept to final export, solo over four months.
I made the 2025 Carvago TV spot, a 3D animated commercial that aired on ČT Sport during the 2026 Winter Olympics. This was my first project made for broadcast television, which introduced a whole new set of challenges. The work happened over about four months in 2025, fitting in around other client work. I didn't model the cars themselves; those were purchased assets. My role was to build the full animated spot, handling scene composition, animation, lighting, and final finishing. Getting the lighting right for a dozen different cars in one shared scene was probably the hardest part. For the colors, I dug through real manufacturer paint palettes to find combinations that would pop on screen.
The biggest learning curve was adapting to broadcast production rules. Everything has a fixed duration down to the frame, and my segment had to fit perfectly inside a longer commercial. I handled everything from concept to final export myself: Figma for the storyboard concepts and 2D assets, Blender for the 3D animation, After Effects for the UI overlay with the on-screen prices, and Premiere Pro for assembling the rendered PNG sequences from Blender into the final cut alongside the voiceover from ElevenLabs. It was a good lesson in balancing my own ideas with marketing feedback, which sometimes pushed for more conventional choices. Seeing it finally air during the Olympics was a quiet, satisfying moment.
